The Summer Series At Somerset House in London is the festival for people who don't like mud or leaving cities and love nice, stately surroundings. Q is previewing all of this year's headliners with a series of interviews and today it's the turn of Jill Scott who plays in the courtyard on 9 and 10 July. "Honest, Abundant and Vicious."
How will you be travelling to the gig?
"Catching a flight and then taxi."
What can we expect from your set outside in the London air at Somerset House?
"Abundance, great musicianship, passion and a lot of fun. There'll be a multitude of voices coming from me."
Is there anything you've got planned for the Somerset House show you can tell us about?
"Always. But I don't know what it is. I don't know what's going to happen."
Can you tell us about the acts on the bill with you?
"I can't wait to check all of them out."
What one song of yours should we listen to get us in the mood for your show and why?
"The Real Thing, its one of my favourite records. Goes from one personality to the next, like a madwoman."
The Royal Society used to be housed at Somerset House - what one scientific invention would transform your life and why?
"The invention of the light bulb transformed my life as it let's me write at night - the writing comes whenever it does and sometimes at night."
Where's your favourite place in London?
"Nandos."
