The Stone Roses at Heaton Park preview: Professor Green 'Ian Brown is my fan, so I don't care what Roses fans think of me'
With The Stone Roses set to make their homecoming this weekend (29 June - 1 July), Q is counting down to the gigs by speaking to the acts the band hand-picked to support them.
Opening up on Saturday in Heaton Park is Professor Green, and though his booking has divided opinion among fans, he is promising not to let Ian Brown down.
"What do I care about a few anal fans going, Oh, what's a rapper doing there?" he tells Q. "Ian Brown fucking loves rap music [and personally invited him to play the gig."
Beside the Prof can look after himself, it seems.
"I'm going to go out there and give it to them as if they know every word of every song," he declares. "And I'm going to take a few cups of piss onstage with me in case
I need some ammo."
