The Stone Roses at Heaton Park preview: The Vaccines "We're not under-estimating how big the day is"

With The Stone Roses set to make their homecoming this weekend (29 June - 1 July), Q is counting down to the gigs by speaking to the acts the band hand-picked to support them.
Opening up on today in Heaton Park The Vaccines are looking forward to some role reversal after Ian Brown played before them at a Portuguese festival last year.
"He came offstage and said, I've warmed them up for you, lads. Now it's our turn to return the favour," explains frontman Justin Young.
"Everyone I talk to about it - especially 40-year-old men - loses their shit over it [Heaton Park," adds the singer. "We're not under-estimating how big the day
is. We're also fucking scared. When a band sells 80,000 tickets in a split second, the prospect isn't sweetened by who's supporting."
To win one of five exclusive Stone Roses poster prints and copy of Simon Spence's new biography The Stone Roses - War And Peace head to the Q competition centre now to enter.
