Brandon Flowers has promised The Killers forthcoming album Battle Born will reveal a new side to the band, including influences they've hid until now. Speaking about single Runaways, the frontman suggested it is only the beginning in terms of the new record. "It's a great starting point, but there are more styles as well," he declared. "We've never hid our influences, and we've always been loud and proud. This album is going down a few different roads, and you really get a taste of what we like as a band and what we think our strengths are." Dave Gahan joined Soulsavers onstage for a special performance of their join The Light The Dead See album at the Capitol Records building in Los Angeles. The singer also conformed he is working on a new Depeche Mode album which will be released in April next year, followed by a world tour.

Plan B has apologised for wearing a T-shirt featuring skinhead band Skrewdriver. Ben Drew said he was unaware of the band's far right connections and picked the image from a photographer's book which charted the skinhead movement. "The t-shirt is not official nor is it on sale anywhere," he explained. "It was of my own doing and therefore it is my mistake, but that is all it is."

Jack White has admitted he found the pressure of expectation unbearable at the times while he was in The White Stripes. "I just kind of sat in a corner, pondering, and letting it torture me. It's no fun when you have no alternatives," he explained. "That can really seriously make you wonder if you even want to be alive, because when you feel that feeling of you just can't win...
