The Killers have posted the first track to be taken from new album Battle Born (named after their studio) online. Listen to Runaways (above) now. The LP will be out on 17 September and has been produced by Daniel Lanois, Steve Lillywhite, Damian Taylor, Stuart Price and Brendan O'Brien.
Spike Lee is making a documentary about Michael Jackson in conjunction with the late singer's estate. The film will focus on Jackson's BAD world tour, and marks the 25th anniversary of the album of the same name. "I'm more than just a huge fan of Michael Jackson, and having the chance to actually know him and work with him, I deeply care about his legacy," declared Lee of the project. "With this BAD project I was able to uncover just what made this such a huge, important coming of age in his career and unearth compelling stories surrounding the making of the album, the long awaited follow-up to Thriller - the best selling album of all time - the short films and the tour that may have never seen the light of day."
Pulp will play a homecoming show at the Sheffield Arena on 8 December. Tickets go on sale on Friday at 9am (BST).
Radiohead paid tribute to drum tech Scott Johnson, who was killed during a stage collapse last month, during their Nimes show yesterday. During an encore performance of Recknor the band displayed photos of the late crew member on screens behind them.

Trent Reznor has written the theme music for video game Black Ops II. "I started dipping my toe into film scoring. That led me to film-scoring agents and whatnot, and a variety of projects start to get thrown at you to check your level of interest," explain the Nine Inch Nails man of his involvement. "And quite a while ago I had heard, Would you be interested in a big franchise video game? Being an avid gamer my whole life, I said, Yeah, I would be interested in that."
The Hit Factory Live concert, due to take part in Hyde Park today, has been called off due the impact of the weather on the site. Promoters Live Nation say the site was deemed unfit to stage the gig due to safety concerns, however they insist all other schedule gigs in the park this summer will go ahead.

Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto is to be turned into a six part comic series. "Three years ago we had an idea with our friend Mark Osborne about a character called Mylo Xyloto - xylo as in xylophone, to as in toe. Gradually Mylo's story and universe came together and this ended-up providing the backdrop for the album and tour," explained the band. "Now we're proud to announce that early next year the story is going to come out as a six-part comic. We hope you like it. It was fun making it."
An unfinished version of a track M.I.A. was apparently working on with William Orbit for Madonna has leaked online. "Who ever LEAKED THAT BABY song should know that I've never heard this version B4 it sounds crazy different 2 what I worte for Madonna," she posted on Twitter. US prosecutors are questioning how much community service Chris Brown has served following his 2009 assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna. The singer is still on probation but there is some debate whether or not he has completed enough of his sentence yet. He is due back in court on 21 August.
