Ryan Jarman: "Amy liked our band and used to come to our gigs, which I always found flattering as I was well aware of what a talent she was. We had mutual friends and would hang out. I've always seen this as a very dark song so we approached it from that angle as opposed to just doing a rough'n'ready, straight cover. We had to reel it in a little as it was in danger of becoming a little too doomy, but I wanted it to feel heavy. I always admired the way Amy lived her life as an artist, and that's my most enduring feeling about her. She was very pure."
