Our new issue, Q313, which has just hit newsstands comes with an exclusive Amy Winehouse tribute CD to go alongside our extensive cover feature on the late singer.
Get the magazine now to get your hands on a copy of Back To... Back To Black, but in the meantime we're showcasing a different act each day who have covered a track from the album, today we hear from Saint Etienne who have tackled Just Friends.
Bob Stanley: "I first heard Rehab over the tannoy at Wingate & Finchley FC, Amy's local football club. She was a local kid made good and Back To Black was a vindication of your support; tough and beautiful, and never try-hard. I chose my least favourite track on the album for us to cover, because I wouldn't have a clue how to improve on something like Love Is A Losing Game. We thought we ought to lose the swearing (you have to be Amy to pull that off), and tried to aim for Southgate kitchen-sink rather than JA skank."
