Q Awards 2012 launches - vote now for your favourite acts

The Q Awards 2012 have launched today (31 July), with the first phase of voting going live.

The ceremony itself will take place in London on Monday, 22 October, but we need your help now to decide who will be there.

It's an open vote for now, so you can nominate anyone you like in the categories below as long as they're eligible - ie they did it (released records, toured the world, etc) in the last 12 months

  • Best New Act Presented by Merc
  • Best Track
  • Best Video
  • Best Album Presented by Red Stage by Jim Beam
  • Best Live Act
  • Best Solo Artist
  • Best Act In The World Today

To vote simply head over to Qthemusic.com/qawards2012 now - everyone who votes will be entered into our prize draw to win a pair of tickets to the ceremony.

You have until 3 September to register your vote for this stage, after which we'll tally everything up and will present the all important 2012 Q Awards Shortlist, from which you'll be able to pick an eventual winner.

The Awards are voted for by the readers and listeners of Q Magazine, Qthemusic.com, Q Radio and by the staff at Q. Employees, families or agents of Bauer Media and associated companies are not eligible to enter the prize draw. Only one entry per household is allowed.
