Biffy Clyro: 'We're not doing a double album cos we think we're great - it just NEEDS to be a double' (Q315 preview)
Biffy Clyro insist they are not making a double album because of their egos - but because their songs demand it.
Speaking from The Village recording complex in Los Angeles in our new issue, Q315 out now, the trio say that Opposites - which boasts a two-part concept - will be a bumper LP because of the way they wrote the record.
"The songs just started falling out," explains frontman Simon Neil of the record's genesis. "We had 45 by the end of last year. That's [a] reason for the double - it's not like we're thinking, Let's put out every song we've written cos we're that great.
"We genuinely think that the songs necessitate a double album."
