Despite not having got round to that solo album yet, Dr Dre has been named the richest man in hip-hop with an estimated fortune of $100m. P Diddy is way behind him at Number 2 with a mere $45m and Jay-Z is third $35m. Thank goodness for all those footballers wearing Beats By Dre headphones, eh?

MP Kerry McCarthy tweeted the singer-songwriter had said the BNP are hard left and socialism was "retarded", prompting The Guardian to round-up a selection of his more right leaning comments. The old Etonian has since declared he is libertarian suggesting: "I just think the world works better when people are left alone to do what they want as much as possible."
