Dexys' Kevin Rowland: "We waited to restart the band until we were ready, we're blessed" (Q Awards video)
Dexys have told Q they have been "tempted" many times to reunite, but glad they held out until they could do it on their terms
The band were speaking after winning Q Icon at yesterday's (22 October) Q Awards.
"It's not nostalgic at all. Our shows are made up of the new album and a few sort of oldies that we reinterpret," singer Kevin Rowland said of the reunion.
"It ain't been easy holding out, there was temptation along the way, a few times people have said Do this, do that. But we didn't take any shortcuts, we waited until we were ready and it paid off for us, we're blessed."
