Edwyn Collins joins the line-up to make Q Awards Gig "special night" for The Cribs

Edwyn Collins has joined the line-up for the Q Awards Gigs at the request of The Cribs.

The former Orange Juice man and indie legend - it's official the Association Of Independent Music are honouring him this year - will play before his friends at London's HMV Forum on 20 October.

"Edwyn is someone that we have a long history with, from him producing our second LP The New Fellas, to Ryan contributing to Edwyn's solo record Losing Sleep," explained The Cribs, "but this is the first time we will have shared a bill together. He's a very important figure to us, and this will be a special night for us."
