Florence + The Machine's Florence Welch is considering taking a break from her band to write a musical. The singer says she needs get off the road but has plans to crack the West End. "I've been on tour since I was 21. I need a break and to have the chance to do normal things, like go to the supermarket and hang out with my friends," she explained. "I've only just moved out of my mum's house, so I'd like to settle into my new place and start getting inspired again. If I started writing songs now, all they'd be about is tour buses and hotel rooms." She explained she is writing the musical with a school friend declaring: "It would be amazing to get it into the West End. That's obviously the dream goal."

Meanwhile more news of unrest on Rihanna's #777 tour. The singer is playing seven gigs, in seven cities in seven days and has taken 150 journalists on the road with her. However with the singer not so much giving a quote to the press pack it seems things are getting fraught with protests, streakers and more taking place on the plane. They're in London today before heading to New York... things could get nasty.
