Tom Odell has been named as the winner of the 2013 Brits Critics Choice Award. The singer songwriter beat Laura Mvula and AlunaGeorge to the new talent prize which was voted for by an academy of music reviewers and "taste makers". He will receive his prize at the ceremony which will be held on 20 February at the 02 Arena in London.
Leonard Cohen played Madison Square in New York at the weekend. He performed two sets and two encores during the epic show. Click through for a picture gallery and full setlist.

Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney is set to host his own monthly radio show. Serious Boredom will be aired on SiriusXMU on the first Thursday of every month starting from January.
