Eminem has been announced as the first headliner for next year's Reading And Leeds Festivals. The event takes place next year between 23-25 August, with Deftones and Alt-J already announced for the bill. More acts will be confirmed soon.
Trent Reznor says he is collaborating with Beats By Dre on a new music streaming service called Daisy which will bring a "layer of intelligent curation" - both human and via algorithm - to helping users find new music selections.
The xx have announced a series of Night & Day gigs they will headline next year. The band will perform above a yet to be announced curated line-up of acts at three locations across Europe: Lisbon Jardim da Torres de Belem (5 May), Berlin Spreepark (18) and London Osterley Park & House (23 June). Tickets go on sale this Friday.
Complaints about online ticket fraud and scams have increased over the last few years, according to a report. Action Fraud, the UK national fraud and internet crime reporting centre, say complaints jumped from 600 in 2010 to 7000 last year. 3000 complains have been made so far this year.
The Black Keys put their success down to being late developers. "The luckiest break we ever had was not to have any major success until we were both over the age of 30," explained Patrick Carney. "We spent eight years watching other people's mistakes. So when it came for us, we didn't say, Now it's time to take a vacation. It was like, Now we have to work harder."

UK rapper says he is eternally grateful to actress Judy Dench who sported one of his baseball caps from his label - also called Dench - while doing Bond promo. "I was worried she was going to slag me off. It was crazy, man," he said. Beck has suggested that his next album may feature much longer songs than he's known for. "I've been experimenting with doing these extended versions that are 10 or 20 minutes long, where I can let the song go into some other place," he said of his recent work. "It's like building a house and letting all the rooms open. Obviously, there are certain rooms that are more interesting than others, but it's about letting the sonic ideas stretch out... Being able to take musical ideas through every iteration is attractive to me. Granted, not everyone's going to want to listen to that, but it should exist."
